Belle and her three siblings were raised by their grandmother, aunt and two uncles in Charlottesville, Virginia. After graduating from high school she enlisted during the Viet Nam War in the Woman's Army Corp (WAC) and then the United States Army. She is a veteran of three wars and currently resides in Round Rock, TX with her husband Chris and her crew Asia, Diego, and Q-Tip and her extended family as she enjoys her retirement and continues her work as a writer and novelist.
