Dr. José Bravo is Full Professor in Computer Science in the Department of Technologies and Information Systems at Castilla-La Mancha University, Spain, and Head of the Modelling Ambient Intelligence Research Group (MAmI, mami-lab.eu). He is involved in several research areas such as Ubiquitous Computing, Ambient Intelligence, Ambient-Assisted Living, Context Awareness, Internet of Things, Mobile Computing, and m-Health. He is Author of over 37 JCR articles and Main Researcher on several projects. His has H-index (Scopus) as 22 and H-index (Google Scholar) as 30. Dr. Bravo supervised 7 Ph.D. and over 45 Computer Science undergraduate theses. Since 2003, José Bravo is Organizer of the International Conference on Ubiquitous Computing & Ambient Intelligence (UCAmI).
Dr. Gabriel Urzaiz received his B.S. in Computer Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and his Ph.D. in Advanced Computer Technologies at the Castilla-La Mancha University. His research activity is focused on computer networks, mainly for the integration of heterogeneous networks and their application in Ambient Intelligence and Ubiquitous Computing. He is Author of several conference and journal papers, and he has also participated as Reviewer and Guest Editor. He has been Director of the Computer Science School of the Anahuac Mayab University in Mexico, Research Professor, and Postgraduate Academic Coordinator. His current position is Full-Time Professor in the Engineering and Exact Sciences Division, primarily focused on teaching and student mentoring.

Das Dateiformat PDF zeigt auf jeder Hardware eine Buchseite stets identisch an. Daher ist eine PDF auch für ein komplexes Layout geeignet, wie es bei Lehr- und Fachbüchern verwendet wird (Bilder, Tabellen, Spalten, Fußnoten). Bei kleinen Displays von E-Readern oder Smartphones sind PDF leider eher nervig, weil zu viel Scrollen notwendig ist. Mit Wasserzeichen-DRM wird hier ein „weicher” Kopierschutz verwendet. Daher ist technisch zwar alles möglich – sogar eine unzulässige Weitergabe. Aber an sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Stellen wird der Käufer des E-Books als Wasserzeichen hinterlegt, sodass im Falle eines Missbrauchs die Spur zurückverfolgt werden kann.
