A Verdict On A Life is volume three of the Darwin Trilogy. It continues and completes, almost, the story of A Witness To A Life and A Judgement On A Life.
This is the culmination of a ripping-yarn of good-guys, villains and large breasted women, of love, hate, art-fraud, kidnapping, un-kidnapping, re-kidnapping and lots-of-sex. (Very decorously dealt with, of course.) A tale of violence, torture and sadomasochism. (As sensitively and decorously dealt with as it's possible to deal with violence, torture and sadomasochism.)
And then, at the end, because that's where it's meant to happen, the long awaited and hoped for demise, in most unusual ways, of the three baddies, and the goodies, lots of them, going on to live, by and large, mostly, but not completely, as you will see, happily-ever-after.
But not happily-ever-after enough to finish the story, not really. No stories have an end, not really. This one doesn't.
