She is the Ex-Head of Department, Emergency Medicine, Rohilkhand medical College, Bareilly.Her research focuses on innovative pain relief techniques and enhancing patient outcomes during the perioperative period. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow) and specializes in perioperative analgesia, with additional Fellowship in Palliative medicine from Institute of Palliative care and St.Christopher's hospice, London.She is Fellow of International Medical science Academy. Dr. Ahluwalia has published many peer-reviewed international publications and has contributed chapters in various issues of " Yearbook of Anesthesiology". As President of the Indian Society of Anesthesia, Moradabad branch, she has received several awards, including the IMA National Award for Excellence in Anesthesia Research and Annual M. k. Dey Award from Indian College of Anaesthesia.
