This text considers the development of double-containment piping products. It reports all the information needed to select, design, install and operate a double-containment piping system, and presents design methods and installation information which will assist the reader in meeting the new laws and complying with all pertinent design codes and standards. Particular emphasis is given to the ASME B31.3 code (Chemical Plant and Oil Refinery Piping) and the B31.4 code (Liquid Transportation Systems for Hydrocarbons, Liquid Petroleum Gas, Anhydrous Ammonia and Alcohols), as these cover the majority of typical applications to be encountered.
