To be more adaptive, innovative and remain competitive in challenging business environment, intrapreneurship is becoming increasingly important for high-technology firms as well as ICT and software firms to renew strategic innovation. Appropriate competencies for project teams' leader and manager to effect such change are required. This study, examined the impact of entrepreneurial leadership competencies on IT experts and software developers' intrapreneurial behavior during the new software or product development processes. We especially focused on the mediating role of team intrapreneurial climate and self-efficacy of team members. The conclusions would be valuable source of future studies for other scholars and founders of ICT and software companies who intend to form and develop successful intrapreneurial climate and competences for innovative work behavior of their employees and innovative performance productivity. Strategies to foster leaders' competencies for building intrapreneurial behavior of employees are discussed.
