When a young witch apprentice loses her home and mentor to witch hunts, can she awaken her druid-like powers and flee to safety? Humankind and nature are at odds in this epic Ghibli-esque fantasy manga, perfect for fans of Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa?, and Witch Hat Atelier!
In a world forsaken by nature, only witches can save humanity.
Long ago, plants and animals lived in harmony...until the humans arrived. Unable to coexist with other species, humans mercilessly destroyed everything in their path, forcing fauna and flora into hiding. For hundreds of years, the world has been nothing but a vast, barren desert. Luckily, a few pockets of nature still exist: sanctuaries of witches, extraordinary women who can hear the call of the plants. Despite their abilities, humans hate witches and blame them for the disappearance of nature.
Pili and Oak still search for the elusive Eden, but thanks to the guidance of amurd spirits, they have discovered a hidden alcove of witches in the mountains. Unfortunately, its residents know nothing about Eden or its location. However, as they prepare to depart, a quick slip of the tongue has everyone present in grave danger.
Matters only get worse when Oak hears the marching of soldiers in the distance. Witch-hunters have located their refuge! Pili rushes to help the other witches, much to Oak's displeasure, but how will she escape capture this time? Or will she be caught and sentenced to death as a witch?
The quest for a lost paradise continues!
