Since being released from Chinese labour camps in 1976, Harry Wu has worked tirelessly to bring China's human rights abuses to international attention. He returned to China in the early 1990's under a new name, and uncovered far worse. Wu not only documents the brutality and scale of the Chinese penal syhstem, but also tells of the risks he took in returning to China in 1995, and relates the extraordinary story of his imprisonment and eventual release.
