A Liturgist's Guide to Inclusive Language

Inclusive language is an explosive issue. It is also an issue that every parish must face. This volume sets aside extreme stances and instead presents the rationale behind inclusive language and guidelines for responsible implementation. The book meets three practical goals: it serves as a handbook for diocesan and parish liturgy groups and other liturgical ministers, who must respond to people's concerns; through endnotes and a brief annotated bibliography, it provides a resource for further study; and it also educates Catholics about inclusive language issues and their complexity.
