The objective of this dissertation is to design a concept that would allow to increase the flexibility of currently available Time Triggered Ethernet based (TTEB) systems, however, without affecting their performance and robustness. The main challenges are related to scheduling of time triggered communication that may take significant amount of time and has to be performed on a powerful platform. Additionally, the reliability has to be considered and kept on the required high level. Finally, the reconfiguration has to be optimally done without affecting the currently running system.

Dr.-Ing. Lukasz Wisniewski studied Informatics with the focus on data bases and computer networks at the Technical University Opole (Poland). Since 2008 he is employed at the Institute Industrial IT (inIT) of the OWL University of Applied Sciences. In 2014 he became a research group manager of the group computer networks with the focus on industrial communication systems. During his work at inIT he completed his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in a cooperative graduation with the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (Germany). His research interests are in the area of internet of things, real-time communication protocols and heterogenous communication systems.
