The Essentials of Production and Operations Management

This text complements "Production and Operations Management" (5th ed). It is an introductory text intended for those who are totally new to the subject and/or who seek a familiarity rather than a full working knowledge. The emphasis is on operations - an approach which is equally relevant to service, transport and supply system management, as well as production/ manufacturing management. Each of these is considered as a function of operations, and the material throughout relates to these functions.
