The D-3 Digital Video Recorder

D-3 is the highest-density DVTR format and offers reduced running costs in an existing composite environment. Digital VTR's use technologies which are absent in the analog machines which preceded them. In this text all of these have been treated from first principles so that no great prior knowledge is needed. The purpose of this book is to describe and explain the D-3 format and its supporting equipment. The book has been written to be easily understandable, with practical examples and references.
