Papyri aus den Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin, Preussischer Kulturbesitz / Hieratische Papyri / Papyrus Reinhardt

One of the long-term projects of the Egyptian Museum in Berlin is to publish the collection of Arabic, demotic, hieratic and Coptic papyri. Their publication provides information on the general history and the economic, administrative, social and religious history of Ancient Egypt. The late hieratic papyrus Reinhardt (P3063) - named after its previous owner, the German Consul Dr C. Reinhardt - contains a list of land owned by the Amun temple and comprises detailes of the size and crop yield of certain fields in a given region. It is presumed to have belonged to the temple archives of Karnak. As a terminus post quem the text mentions King Psusennes (21st dynasty) as being the founder of one of these temple domains. The text of the papyrus is published here together with the hieroglyphic transcription, translation and commentary.
