Marina Vaizey was born in New York, educated at Harvard and Cambridge, and has lived in Britain since 1959; she was an art critic for over thirty years for various publications, including the Financial Times and the Sunday Times, and a member of the Arts Council and the Crafts Council. She has curated several exhibitions and is the author of several books, including The Artist as Photographer, and Great Women Collectors with Charlotte Gere. She is currently a trustee of several museums, in addition to writing, lecturing, and travelling.
