TRIPS Agreement and Developing Countries

This report examining the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement assesses the economic implications of the Agreement for developing countries, focusing on market-related costs and benefits, as well as the direct costs stemming from its implementation. In addition, it summarizes the results of selected country studies. This book also discusses the disciplines covered by the Agreement and highlights the provisions of each of the disciplines discussed, its economic and legal implications and issues arising from and costs involved in its implementation.
