His teaching and research draw heavily upon his experiences as a language teacher and language teacher trainer in East, Southeast and Central Asia, the Middle East, Canada, and his native Australia. Dr Robert C. Johnson is Assistant Professor of Communications at the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar, having previously served as a faculty member at the University of Calgary in Qatar. A recipient of the 2013 Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award, his research interests include educational testing/assessment and Medical English as a lingua franca.
