This book provides educational material that discusses the clinical aspects of disease in the context of readily acquired diagnostic data. Organised by body system, 70 of the most common disorders, including AIDS, are featured in case study settings. Discussions teach students diagnosis determination through presentation of patient history, clinical evaluation, and laboratory and other diagnostic data. Once the diagnosis is determined, each chapter follows with a discussion of differential diagnosis, definition of disease, and a brief principle of treatment.
