This celebratory volume examines the origins, development and future of the British Lions as well as the social and political issues which have affected the evolution of one of the world's most formidable rugby forces. It includes profiles of many of the greats such as Brian Moore and Rob Andrew, and gives insights into every Lions tour. The book has been updated by Clem Thomas's son Greg and now includes details of the 1997 British Lions tour to South Africa.
