Taking a journey inside a coral reef, this is part of series designed to help meet the requirement that children at Key Stage 3 should understand that different animals and plants are found in different habitats; how animals and plants in two different habitats are suited to their environment; and that food chains show feeding relationships in an ecosystem. After an introductory spread revealing the entire ecosystem, each book takes a journey through an animal environment and describes conditions and topics such as temperature, light, availability of food, and predators. The book ends by discussing the effect of human actions on the fragile environment that has been examined, and what the future may hold.
