The first edition of this book was a landmark publication and did much to establish paediatric hepatobiliary surgery as a discrete subspecialty. This edition is an expanded and fully updated version. Two new editors have added complementary expertise and international authority.
More operative detail has been included for the non-specialist and there are new sections on the surgical management of pancreatic disease, transplantation and trauma written by international experts. High quality operative line illustrations and a section of colour plates have also been added to aid understanding.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
I have no doubt that this will prove to be a valuable reference text for all clinicians involved in the surgical care of children with disorders of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas, and for hepatobiliary specialists themselves.
British Journal of Surgery
This book will serve as an invalulable resource for gastroenterologists, paediatricians, surgeons, nurses, and others involved in the surgical care of children with liver, biliary, or pancreatic disorders, whether at a specialist children's centre or a district hospital, and will appeal to trainees, whose exposure these days to complex hepatobiliary surgery is limited. In addition, gastroenterologists and surgeons treating the increasing number of adults with disorders of childhood will find this book a most helpful companion.
