Summat or Other

The Island and Royal Manor of Portland is a unique, special place in many ways, and it evokes deep feelings in people. This small piece of stone, poking out into the sea, is either loved profoundly or detested; Portland doesn't do greys. This book is a collection of short stories and poetry written by members of the Pens of Portland. It encompasses a wide range of styles and themes, but all of the contributors have written at least one piece that is linked to the Island. A Gateway to Summat or Other is an anthology that has emerged from a small community group. We hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.
