Described in this work is the development of molecular emission cavity analysis, its chemical basis, the instrumentation, and the various groups of elements which can be determined. Molecular emission cavity analysis shows remarkable sensitivity, especially for sulphur phosphorous and the halides. It is also capable of detecting most non-metals and metalloids, and can accommodate solid, liquid, and gaseous samples.
