Designed to facilitate the leap from the concepts and terminology of the DSM-III-R to actual clinical situations and with more than 75 contributing authors, the "DSM-III-R Casebook" has over 100 new cases (including 28 international cases) which illustrate more than 30 new diagnostic categories. The casebook covers virtually all of the DSM-III-R categories in its 257 vignettes based on real patients. Each case is followed by a discussion of the DSM-III-R differential diagnosis. Widely divergent cultures are represented in 28 cases from colleagues in non-English speaking countries. Appendices include cases by special interest, DSM-III-R classification, and an index of cases by DSM-III-R diagnosis.
