Cardinal Joseph Mindszenty (1892-1975) was in 1956-71 "guest" of the American Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. This volume documents his letters to the Holy See and throws light on the thinking of the Cardinal considered in his time an advocate of freedom for Hungary and for the World.
