Current Diagnosis and Treatment in Orthopaedics

This addition to the "CURRENT" series covers all aspects of clinical orthopaedic surgery including pertinent areas of biochemisty, physiology, bioengineering, prosthetics and orthotics. In addition, ongoing controversies are reviewed and clinical standards of care for orthopaedic surgery are described. The physiologic basis for treatment of each clinical problem is explained in such detail that the understanding of the reason for treatment of the disease is obvious.
