The Berkeley Conference on Dutch Linguistics: Issues and Controversies, Old and New

This book, the third in a series of publications produced by the Dutch Studies Programme at the University of California, contains papers presented at the second Berkeley Conference on Dutch linguistics. It includes chapters on substrate words in Dutch, apparent causes of submorphemic attraction in early Dutch and the older Germanic languages, the "Netherlandization" of the low German west and Dutch influence on American English and Indonesian.
