Tumours of the Placenta and Umbilical Cord

A comprehensive monograph on the pathologic findings of tumours of the placenta and umbilical cord, this work reviews developments and deviant structures of embryology, tumours of placental epithelium, tumours of placental mesenchyme and tumours metastatic to the placenta or placental sites. Whereas earlier emphasis has been almost exclusively limited to tumours of the trophoblast, this work also considers mesenchymal tumours of the placenta and of metastatic neoplastic lesions from both maternal and foetal sources. Recent research findings are also featured.
