The authors have provided a simply written, yet comprehensive overview of communication disorders from a multicultural perspective.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
Happy to see multi-cultural approach & extensive emphasis on hearing disorders and audiology, which are often missing in other texts; Need language disorders chapter for children & school age, Ch. 5 is not adequate. An anatomy/neuroanatomy chapter is a must; strong phonology, voice, fluency chapters, but as it is, I would not use the book because it's not diverse enough in terms of coverage of various disorders esp. child language. Great history overview. Concise theory section. Weak school-age/adolescent language would like more consistency between chapters in organizaiton and inclusion of incidence treatment. Cultural component is great. Need more illustrations.
