Bobushev Temirbek Seitkazievich received a higher geographical education at the Kyrgyz, Kyrgyzstan, and the Moscow State, Russia, Universities. After defending his PhD thesis in 1980, he began duties as a teacher at the Kyrgyz State University. He initiated the creation of and headed the Department of Geomorphology and Cartography of mountainous countries in Central Asia. At the invitation of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), he worked as an Associate Professor, assistant Vice President, Vice Provost and Professor at the AUCA. In 2014-2018 he has combined his research at the Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences with work as a Professor at the Kyrgyz Economic University. In 2005 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Science in the field of economic, social and political geography.Dr Bobushev Temirbek Seitkazievich initiated and conducted research in the following USA Universities: University of Nebraska, Lincoln (1998); Indiana University, Bloomington, Fulbright Scholar (2002-2003); Michigan State University, Institute of Water Problems, Lansing (2011-2012).
