GENRE; historical short stories, myths 7 legends, South AmericaThis is a book of short stories set in South America at the end of the nineteenth century - a time when most countries are trying to establish themselves after the quarrels following independence from Spain and Portugal. These stories are in the fable format, where the readers can learn valuable life lessons, whilst learning of other cultures. It is written about South America for those who have yet to travel there and meet the most delightful residents. Some stories come from the myths and religious beliefs of the people; others from real events and some have been taken from things and people observed during extensive travels around that continent.
