Detlef Schwartz, PhD, currently working as a Lutheran pastor in South Africa analyzes the liberation movements which originate in Latin America. He shows how necessary it is to broaden the perspective of liberation theology with respect to a non-binary thinking and acceptance of feminist and queer liberation movements. But he also uncovers the anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish mindset within the post-colonialist and decolonizing environment which wrongfully has been celebrating the attacks by the terror group Hamas on Israel as being part of a liberation movement. His idea of a theology which is based on dialogue tries to show ways out of this confrontation and conflict.
