Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, England, a Fellow and Council Member of The Textile Institute, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is an alumnus of the UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and the German Academic Exchange Programme, commonly known as DAAD. He obtained a PhD from the University of Manchester, an MSc. from the Technische Universitaet Dresden, and a BSc. from the University of Dhaka. He has over 20 years of professional experience of working in different roles in industry and academia including the role of head of the department. He is currently leading the AHRC Digital Fashion Network project hosted at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Dr. Sayem is a member of The Textile Institute's publication committee and edits the Textile Institute Professional Publication Book Series published by CRC Press/Taylor & Francis.
