Slurs have long been used as a means of insulting, degrading and attacking specific groups of people. The queer community is not a stranger to this. Through uncomfortable words, confronting erotic art and personal stories PROUD aims to challenge our use of language. Working to reclaim the words that have long been used to attack the LGBTIQA+ community, finding pride in those spaces that were once filled with shame.
