A promising future is ahead for the prosthodontic applications of the stereolithography technologies, where a complete digital workflow could be systematically applied in our daily work. The continuous development and improvement of Additive manufacturing technologies are unstoppable as is the variety of materials that can be printed. The results indicate that Stereolithography and milling can fabricate crowns of comparable accuracy and knife-edged crowns are prone to large margin chippings by either of the two manufacturing methods. Further investigations on optimizing the milling strategies are needed to improve the margin integrity. Moreover, the intraoral occlusal and interproximal contacts of the Stereolithography printed restorations and their long-term performance remain to be studied. The printed tooth made it possible for students to learn the correct veneer preparation more easily with improved self-education.
