After her mother was killed by a landmine while fleeing from the soldiers, a Burmese girl joins a Resistance group based on the Burmese-Thai border which employs violence as the chief weapon against tyranny. But the violence is not the same as terrorism, as the group operate by abiding the tough-minded pragmatism of Aung San Suu Kyi, known as 'the Lady'.
