Edmond Rostand (1 April 1868- 2 December 1918) was a French poet and playwright. He is associated with neo-romanticism and his plays contrasted the naturalistic theatre that was popular in the late 19th century. Alex A. Blum was an illustrator best known for his tremendous contributions to the Classics Illustrated series. He illustrated 25 titles within that series, as well as the debut title to the Classics Illustrated Junior series - "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". John Parker (1917-2004) was an American artist who started illustrating magazines and painted covers in the 1940s. He began to paint covers for Classics Illustrated Comics in 1956 and eventually taught illustration at the Ivy School of Professional Art.
