A global conspiracy, a man betrayed. The clock is ticking.
Framed for a crime he didn't commit, CIA operative Jack Copeland has been fighting to clear his name. When the mastermind behind his betrayal is exposed as Thomas Whitaker, the White House Chief of Staff, Copeland discovers that the conspiracy reaches far beyond Washington. At its centre is Dmitri Orlov, a powerful Russian oligarch pulling the strings of a global operation aimed at destabilising entire nations.
As Copeland teams up with CIA Director Karl Langdon, the two must race against time to stop Orlov before his next move sends the world into chaos. From secret meetings in Moscow to the bustling streets of Istanbul, Operation Cerberus is a high-stakes thriller and a gripping tale of espionage, and betrayal where trust is scarce, and danger is everywhere.

Operation
Cerberus is a pacy,
suspenseful espionage and political thriller. The tale uncovers intricate
conspiracies that span international borders in a terrifying global game. The
protagonist, Jack Copeland, is an expert covert operative who finds himself in
a deadly game of deception. This gripping novel explores themes of loyalty,
betrayal, and the murky underbelly of intelligence agencies.
The story kicks off at
a gala at the Vantage Plaza Skyscraper, where Jack is working undercover. When
an explosion rips through the venue, Jack is framed for the crime and blamed by
his own agency. This drives his relentless pursuit to clear his name.
From courtroom drama
to heart-pounding prison breaks, Ethan Ross keeps readers turning the pages. Ross
is exceptionally adept at building tension and creating a fast-paced narrative,
simmering with tautness. The plot twists are well-placed, and the gradual
unravelling of the conspiracy surrounding Jack's frame-up keeps the reader
engaged.
The action scenes are
particularly compelling, as well as the machinations behind the scenes. Both underscore
the uncertain nature of justice and how easily it can be undermined by powerful
and often shadowy figures.
Jack Copeland is a
likeable, credible and sympathetic character whose motives, actions and
decisions are never so far-fetched as to lose the reader's interest. This makes
him a well-rounded, great main character.
The supporting
characters provide a strong emotional anchor to the story. The ties of loyalty,
persistence, friendship and a strong sense of justice that run through the
story add an extra layer of depth to the narrative.
