This is a combined version of Anton and Rorres's Applications of Linear Algebra and Anton's Elementary Linear Algebra into one practical, flexible text. The book incorporates 20 applications drawn from business, economics, engineering, physics, computer science, sociology and numerous other disciplines. It also contains an expanded variety of exercise sets, both computational and conceptual, beginning with drill problems and progressing to more theoretical problems. The chapter on numerical methods has been completely rewritten to include a new section on LU- decomposition, and a new section comparing various methods for solving linear systems in terms of the number of operations they require has been added.
