XIII Special Courses at the National Observatory of Rio de Janeiro

These proceedings include lecture notes from three general courses in astronomy and astrophysics at graduate level presented during the 13th edition of the Special Courses at the National Observatory of Rio de Janeiro, in 2008. The lectures cover topics on planet formation, physics and dynamics of asteroids, galaxy formation and dark matter.
