Show me your vehicle and I'll tell you who you are. For his new photo book Homo Mobilis, photographer Martin Roemers travelled the world armed with a large white backdrop, a camera, and one simple question: "Would you pose with your vehicle for me?" The result is an eye-opening collection of images that raises pressing questions about our current global society. "What about the environmental impact of our addiction to oil and engines?" but also: "Does your choice of vehicle express something about your identity?" At the same time, Roemers' images almost instantly bring a smile to your face. The book is also interspersed with behind-the-scenes shots that clearly reveal the scale and ambition of this project.
