C'est ce pays-là que, Arthur Rimadoum, dans ses expériences pensives, présente les vécus de tout un peuple en mettant en exergue une narration dont le héros s'appelle Ndingarom. Ndingarom perd Mamadjibeye et son bébé suite à un avortement manigancé par deux jeunes filles ignorantes de la valeur d'une vie humaine. Justement, c'est par faute d'éducation. L'injustice, mensonge, solitude et irréflexion pousseront le héros du roman à s'exiler tout en le forçant à tisser une alliance avec un monde différent de celui dont il rêvait : il sera habillé d'une blouse schizophrénique. Un rêve qui s'envole faute d'inattention des adultes.
