Atlas of Equine Ultrasonography

The Atlas of Equine Ultrasonography presents high-quality sonograms of equine body structures typically assessed by ultrasonography. By comparing the book's sonograms of normal and abnormal structures with patient sonograms made with their ultrasound units, readers can detect pathologic changes. Approximately 850 sonograms of normal and abnormal body structures are organized by body system. Each page of the atlas contains three sonograms, with their respective caption placed beside each sonogram. The large page size provides an appealing, airy layout. Accompanying line drawings indicate the location of the body part being imaged and placement of the ultrasound transducer. Where appropriate, a short discussion of case management accompanies some sonograms. About a dozen radiographs are also included to compare the ultrasonographic and radiographic appearance of certain lesions.
