Exploring the Catechism

Now that the "Catechism" has arrived, how does one broach this nearly 700-page theological document? Other books attempt to summarize or comment on it, this work shows how to read it. This book is a useful tool for understanding the pastoral implications of the Catechism. The discussion of the role of the Catechism is situated within the context of contemporary catechesis and connected to core elements of this pastoral endeavour for the future. Chapters correspond with the divisions of the Catechism. They discuss applicable documents of Vatican II, examine theological insights which complement the ideas set out in the Catechism, and provide sound analysis of the text which can direct the individual's careful reading.
