Hhds: The Slave Trade (cased)

This is one of a series of topic books to support the depth studies for Britain 1750-1900 and the Twentieth Century World required by the revised National Curriculum. The book examines what life was like for black slaves and how the slave trade was established, slave ships and auctions, and working and living conditions on the plantations. Case studies examine how slaves were treated in Britain, and the final section considers the campaign to abolish the trade.
