Sub-contracting Under the JCT Standard Forms of Building Contract

The increasing sophistication of buildings means that most of the work on an average project will be sub-contracted, so sub-contractors play an important part in many building projects. This text is an examination of the legal principles which affect sub-contractors and explains the key provisions of the standard sub-contracts for use with the various JCT forms of the contract.
