Beneath the Wild Fig Tree

Fiona Preston was born in South Africa but has spent most of her life in Australia, specifically in Tasmania, where this novel was substantially written. She has also lived in the Kimberley, Western Australia and in New South Wales. She has blogged about exploring coastlines and has been published in local publications. She has worked as a cook in an exploration camp on a remote Australian cattle station, as a bookseller, librarian and as a counsellor and in her spare time enjoys anything and everything to do with coastlines and the sea.
