C. A. Preece is a high school chemistry teacher in central Kentucky and a graduate student at the University of Kentucky studying S.T.E.M. education, where he aims to research the effects of learning chemistry through comics.
C. A. grew up on Meathouse Road in Martin County, Kentucky for most of his childhood. He later attended Morehead State University (MSU) for a B.S. in chemistry, the University of Kentucky for chemistry graduate school, and returned to MSU for a M.A. in teaching. C. A. has been teaching high school since 2010.
Comics have always been a passion for C. A. as he bought his first for a dime from his uncle Dan at the age of 4. His love of comics and science have merged in his website atomicuniverse.org, panels at comic conventions on science in comics, and science consulting on a couple comic series (Solar: Man of the Atom by Frank Barbiere and Lazarus by Greg Ruka).
