Researching British Probates enables genealogists to exploit data on inheritance, family history, and property ownership in northern England. This largely untapped resource is a collection of many microfilm rolls of British wills and related documents easily available through the Family History Library. Some 1,700 branch libraries can give researchers access to this microfilm, but only those who use Researching British Probates will be fully able to benefit from the film's important contents. Researching British Probates is organized by county and by document type under each county.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
If all the records cannot be found using his [Pratt's] instructions, they won't be found. Whether one intends to do one's research in a Family History Library or in England, this book should be required reading. * The Virginia Genealogical Society Newsletter *
