This monograph presents physics-based models and numerical simulation results of charge carrier transport in device nanostructures with a one-dimensional electron gas, obtained by applying direct numerical solutions of the Boltzmann transport equation or Monte Carlo simulation methods. Electrical parameters and characteristics of several such structures are calculated for illustrative purposes using proprietary in-house software tools. The monograph will be of interest to specialists in the numerical simulation and theoretical analysis of charge carrier transport phenomena in quantum-dimensional electronic systems.
