Lucy Postgate's horse riding career began as a young child playing ponies cantering around her London bedroom. After the family moved to East Sussex Lucy began to learn to ride real ponies at Hope in the Valley Riding School in Lewes. She was aged ten. Lucy went on to take and pass her BHSAI in 1975 and has been running her own riding school since 1977. Lucy is married to Tim Duffield. They have two grown up children, George and Alanna.
